NCS Strategic Plan 2010-2015

The conceptual framework is the foundation of the strategic plan context for Nampa Christian Schools. This conceptual framework includes a Christ-centered focus in all we say and do. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. “ Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” (I Corinthians 13:12) In this Christ-centered focus, academic excellence is a primary building block. Academic excellence includes the general goals of high academic standards, individualized instruction, extraordinary college placement, concurrent credit offerings, ISAT and ACT scores well above state averages, accelerated learning and high expectations in the classroom.
A Biblical worldview is another foundational component of the Nampa Christian Schools Christ-centered focus. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2) The Biblical worldview encompasses Biblical integration, development of moral principles, encouraging outreach to others, being service minded, a value-based educational emphasis, consistent demonstration of open prayer, and becoming a person of Christian character.
The offering of extracurricular opportunities allows Nampa Christian Schools to emphasize the development of well-rounded students within a Christ-centered focus. “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” (I Corinthians 9:24-25) There is a high priority to seek excellence in the areas of leadership opportunities, drama, interscholastic athletics, music, community service activities (e.g., Key club), academic bowls, and science competitions.
Last but not least, Nampa Christian Schools Christ-centered educational process is enhanced by a church-family-school partnership. This encompasses a safe learning context, staying connected with families, partnering with churches, cultivating a sense of belonging, developing leaders, creating a supportive environment and encouraging appropriate parental involvement.
As we embark upon the next five years of this strategic plan, the Nampa Christian School Board and Community has identified six (6) areas of emphasis to focus on in the years ahead (2014-2015). Following are the six areas with prioritized general goals under each of the areas:
