
NAMPA CHRISTIAN HIGH STUDENT CHOSEN TO ATTEND NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM

Nampa Christian High School junior Nicholas Gill was recently chosen to be a scholar at the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security in Washington, D.C. this fall 2011. According to a letter from the National Youth Leadership Forum this opportunity will recognize Nicholas Gill along with others as one of the “nation’s most outstanding high school scholars.”
The time spent at Washington, D.C. will include a six-day forum during which Nicholas will have the opportunity to speak with some of the United States’ most distinguished leaders in the fields of national security and public service. Upon completion of the Forum, he will be able to receive college credits through George Mason University along with a Certificate of Achievement officially commemorating his participation.
Along with the recommendations of teachers and demonstrated extracurricular involvement through activities with Key Club, Varsity football, Men’s select choir, and the NCHS Honor Roll, Nicholas Gill was chosen in addition to several other Nampa Christian alumni who have participated in the past at the National Youth Leadership Forum. These alumni include Kandice Gingrich (class of 2000), Kelsie Carlson (2001), Trenton Ivey (2004), Dustin Downs (2006), Tanya Troost (2006), Patricia Gorla(2008) Danielle Claar (2008) and Candace DeVries(2009).
The Nampa Kiwanis Club is sponsoring Nicholas Gill for his October trip to Washington, D.C.
