NAMPA CHRISTIAN 2011-12 ENROLLMENT INCREASES OVER LAST YEAR

Nampa Christian Schools recently announced fall 2011 numbers of 636 students enrolled in PK-12th grade classes. This shows an increase compared to last fall (2010), when Nampa Christian had 617 students. This was up from the fall 2009 enrollment of 545 students. This year’s increase does not include the students at the new Early Childhood Center which has started with 62 students.
“We are grateful for the increased number of students that have chosen to enroll at Nampa Christian Schools this fall” said Superintendent Eric Forseth “In light of the economic times; this shows a family commitment to the academic excellence, Biblical worldview, co-curricular activities and distinctive church-family-school partnerships at NCS.”
Several initiatives have taken place to encourage enrollment at Nampa Christian Schools. One initiative included international student recruitment. With enrolled international students twice as high as last year, the enrollment of 37 international students this fall is enriching the Nampa Christian campuses with intercultural opportunities for both American and international students. In addition, Nampa Christian is able to offer a tailored program with new courses in ESL (English as a Second Language) and humanities.
The second addition to NCS is the opening of a new Early Childhood Center which opened in the fall last year serving students from 6 weeks to four years old. The Early Childhood Center offers year-round schooling and child care and is open from 7:30- 6:00 p.m. each day.
The third and most exciting aspect of fall enrollment at Nampa Christian is that there are a total of 110 new students this year. In addition to beginning of school new students, last year 30 new students enrolled during the school year. Because of this, the administration at Nampa Christian Schools has pre-planned this year to accommodate adding a couple of students per class through the fall and spring semesters. Class sizes continue to be at a reasonable average size of 22 students per class.
