Host Family Information

 Are you interested in hosting a NCS international student in your home?
 
At Nampa Christian Schools, international students are treated as part of the host family.  They are provided with a bedroom and share meals and social activities at home with their designated family.  Students are also welcome to participate in all family activities.
 
Host families are:

*dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing home atmosphere for their student

*screened and approved by Nampa Christian Schools as a good fit for the student

*encouraged to facilitate student’s school and community extracurricular activities

*interested in developing lifelong relationships with their student

*able to provide necessary parental and family support for their student

*partners with Nampa Christian Schools to ensure a positive academic and social experience for their student

An important part of the host family placement process at Nampa Christian Schools involves appropriate screening.  This screening involves the host family filling out a screening questionnaire.  The purpose of this screening is to match and align host family characteristics with international student interests and characteristics.  For example, if a host family has students in high school, international students of the same gender are then appropriately placed in a home environment that will be conducive to an optimal learning environment.
